Sorry for the dry spell, things have been incredibly hectic here with getting the house ready to go and getting our stuff ready to move. We’re just about there – only some shelving, a little electrical work, and carpet and we’re moving in!
The paint is finally done and it looks amazing. It’s incredible to see what a fresh coat of color can do to transform a house. Here are some pictures – I don’t have of every room, but some is better than nothing…
Bedrooms
Here’s Leo’s room (it’s my favorite!) – the pictures don’t do the gorgeous denim-blue color justice.
This one’s Rachel’s room:
And the guest room:
Both rooms have the same ceiling fan, and both need to have the blades reversed to the other color. Oops.
And our master:
Again, it’s hard to see the real color here, but it’s a beautiful silvery green shade.
Bathrooms
We haven’t done any work on the bathrooms besides for the new toilets (we decided on the Kohler), new medicine cabinets, and fresh paint – they’re part of our “in-the-future” plans. Here are the two upstairs bathrooms:
Downstairs
Here’s the fun part. I don’t have pictures of the entry, living/dining, powder room, or kitchen, but here’s our awesome playroom:
And our completed stair railing:
Carpet’s going in later this week. I will update as soon as I can!
I love the little closet. It looks like the one in the Johnny Lion book! Can’t wait to come visit, so I can hide in it and yell “Boo!” I bet Leo would love that!
Hope you’ll notice, unlike Johnny Lion’s mother, and that you’ll get scared and scream, instead of saying something nerdy, like, “Oh Derek Lion, go clean your room.”
